Dear Younger Me

 Me Aged 19

Me Aged 11
So I have seen loads of these posts floating round and I decided to do my own one. As I am only 19 I decided I would do this to 11/12 year old me who would of been starting year 7.

Dear Heather,

The excitement you had of starting secondary school will fade quickly when you realise what it's like and how much different it is to primary school. To go along with this the mates you came into secondary school with won't be the mates you leave with.  Picking your options seems like the hardest decision but in reality it's probably the easiest you will have to make for the next few years. And that bottle Green and Pink uniform you had to wear eventually wasn't as bad as you thought it was and let's be honest you totally rocked the watermelon look.

Don't stress over your GCSE's and BTEC options the ones you pick will work out eventually even if you have a hatred for textiles. Also don't worry about your results some you will pass and some you will fail but that's okay. Stop stressing your little head about college it will work out in the end and you will have the best two years of your life.

Oh yeah your fashion sense will change a lot that girl that used to live in track suits, converse, trainers and Uggs will give it all up after a few years. You will develop a much better fashion sense that is totally you, and you will look and feel confident more in your clothes.

You will have your fair share of makeup disasters growing up, that limited edition YSL blue eye pallet will rarely get used and that orange foundation will soon be switched with one that matches your skin tone.

Family life will change a lot. Your mum will get married and things will change. Drama will unfold with your step family but things will work out eventually. You will live in this amazing bubble for nearly 6 years but then things change. Your mum and stepdad will split up, you will live with your Mum and grandparents for 4 months. You's eventually move into your own little home and not long later arrives your little pup Duke.

Don't stress out about getting a job it may take 2 years but things work out in the end, it's not a bad little job and you make friends you never thought you would.
You will leave college with all the results you want bar your GCSE English, you still get into the University you think you will love.
Things don't go to plan but that's okay the gap year may be beneficial and you learn a lot about yourself.

Blogging has become a huge part of your life, it had given you a creative outlet to express yourself. You will meet so many wonderful people who have had a positive impact on your life.
Overall the things you will go through will impact your life and you may think it won't work out. I promise you things will get better, you are spending your 21st birthday in New York next year, just another thing to tick of your bucket list eh.

So Dear young Heather don't stress out what will be will be, make the most of the cards you are delt and don't have regrets. Life is to short and as my favourite quote goes "life is not about waiting for the storm to pass it is about learning to dance in the rain".

I hoped you liked this post feel free to check out any of my social media and other posts. Sorry about not being active the last few days had a lot on.

Thanks for reading,
Until next time,
Heathers World
